Termo equivalente: fatores push e pull; efeitos push e pull

Definição: "Different authors define the concepts of 'push' and 'pull' in different manners. Even within the same area there are major divergences. For instance, Olver and Farris (1989) and Kotler and Keller (2007) state that "supply-side marketing decisions are often called 'push' effects because they push the products towards the consumer" and "demand-side factors are sometimes referred to as 'pull' effects because the consumers pull the purchases from the retailers based on their preferences"; Alexander (1995) and Treadgold and Davies (1988), however, claim that ‘push’ factors are "those that encourage the company to search for international opportunities", and ‘pull’ factors, "those that involve attractive conditions in foreign markets."
